If you or your company are planning to send something large, it is smart to be aware of the prices in advance. If you know the dimensions and weight of your pallet, you can easily get a price overview. You just have to use the calculator here at Pakke.dk.

Best companies for pallets and general cargo

For the transport of pallets and general cargo within Denmark's own borders, Danske Fragtmænd is always one of the best choices. They are experienced in the field and have a very good infrastructure. We also collect prices from them when you use the form.
PostNord and Bring are some other companies that are able to handle goods in the Nordics. Otherwise, there are international distribution companies such as DHL and UPS that can also be considered. They deliver worldwide with very few restrictions.
It is immediately cheaper to send goods within the Danish borders, as the distance is shorter and as less is required of the distributor. But even shipments abroad are no longer so expensive, which benefits many companies.
Remember that customs documentation is required if you have to send outside the EU.

Pallet transport when you have to send large quantities

Pallets are of course the obvious choice when you need to send large items from one place to another. You can choose to send a whole or half a pallet.
The advantages of pallet transport are that you can transport large quantities of goods together and that they can easily be transported far away. In addition, pallets are handled with machines such as pallet lifters and trucks, so they are hardly touched, and they are quite stable during the entire transport. It is therefore a safe and efficient shipping method.

Groupage and bulk goods are also a good solution

General cargo is usually referred to as shipments over 20 kg that are handled manually most of the time. However, it is still a safe shipping method, as general cargo is also allowed to stand stable on its own most of the time. Unit cargo is often chosen when a company has a large shipment, which is not large enough to fill an entire container, nor does it fit into a regular pallet.
Just like ordinary pallet transport, piece goods can be sent to Denmark as well as abroad. It is often offered by the large distribution companies (such as Danske Fragtmænd, GLS and DHL), and they collect general cargo from several customers in the same wagon or container.
